Introduction

This literature dashboard is generated for a set of biological concepts, referred as Concept Set. The Concept Set consists of concepts such as human genes, metabolites, pathways, bacteria, phenotypes, cell types, diseases and general research terms. This dashboard provides a number of views on the literature data associated with the Concept Set, shown in each of the tabs.

All literature data are retrieved from the KMAP (KnowledgeMap) of TenWise, which is generated by mining more than 35 million abstracts with a set of > 500.000 keywords that describe a wide range of biological concepts.

Concept Set

The table lists the biological concepts in your Concept Set. The name of each concept is hyperlinked to a TenWise literature overview page for this concept. You can also use the search box to search for a concept in your set. When you type in a part of the word in this box, the table is automatically filtered and updated.

Network

The Network provides an overview of how each concept is connected with all other concepts in the Concept Set. The links between the concepts indicate the strength of the relation. Clicking on the hyperlink shows the page with abstracts in which both concepts are mentioned.

The Literature Table shows essentially the same information as in the network, but now each row describes a single relation in the network.

The Total Network tab shows the link between the concepts in your set and other concepts from various categories. In the following tabs, the results per term category are shown. For each term, the 25 most significant links are shown for each concept category. The hits are the number of abstracts in which both concepts co-occur. Clicking on this link opens a new window in which the abstracts are shown in which both concepts co-occur. You can use the search button in the top right corner to filter the results for your concept of interest.
